HOW TO TURN ENVY INTO A POSITIVE ACTION

What you attack, you don't attract. What you run down doesn't run to you. What you condemn cannot become yours. What you bitterly envy, greatly avoids you. What you don't appreciate in others, depreciates in your life and destiny.

“Envy is ignorance.” –Ralph Waldo Emerson

Envy is among the most powerful forces in human life. The dark emotions that arise when we see someone else possessing something that we deeply want can inflame feelings of inferiority, hostility, resentment and, in extreme cases the desire to spoil whatever it is we covet.

This is to everyone possessed by the spirit of jealousy, bitterness and an incurable passion to pull down someone doing well and already greater or ahead of you. Joseph's brothers only saw a semblance of greatness in their kid brother and they '' killed '' him, or so they thought. Little did they know that the seed called GREATNESS doesn't die. At the end of that generation, NONE of them smelt near a throne. None of them became a king because, by their previous action of bitterness and envy, they cut off their own link and channel to greatness. They all ended up feeding on Joseph's table!

Esther's teenage co-contestants ran down a seemingly quiet village girl who had the aura of greatness that was lacking in them. None of them was chosen by the King as a wife.

Whoever is bigger than you at the moment, whoever is ahead of you and doing far better than you at the moment, is an indication that there is still room ahead and at the top. It should be a motivation for you to appreciate them, encourage them and aspire to get there as well

Begin today, to consciously turn that negative energy of bitterness, jealousy, backbiting the successful lot, backstabbing those doing better than you, into the positive energy of celebrating them, appreciating them and learning from them.

The most important part of ridding oneself of envy is changing the way we approach the situation. Realize that there is nothing you can to do change events outside your control. What you can do, however, is find ways to make changes in your own life.

Let's not imitate others. Let's find ourselves and be yourself for "envy is ignorance" and "imitation is suicide".

I know how hard it is seeing people do/have what you want. If you want something that someone else has then work for it. It is hard to understand and sounds even a little bit harsh but it is true. The sooner you come to terms with this, the sooner you can learn from it. It is okay to make mistakes and have shortcomings. Acknowledge them, learn from them and grow from them.
What you attack, you don't attract. What you run down doesn't run to you. What you condemn cannot become yours. What you bitterly envy, greatly avoids you. What you don't appreciate in others, depreciates in your life and destiny.
