About what happened amid the weekend. I'm happy that the Breast Cancer Awareness and examination was a win, an immense accomplishment at that. We got ready for forty women on account of the venue  and more than seventy women showed up, I was stunned at those numbers.

Dr (Mrs) Fadare talked broadly on breast cancer. She discussed how breast cancer develops quickly and wildly.

 One of the participants shared her story, how she felt irregularities in breast and admonished all of us to go for examination as soon as we notice anything. Cancer cells multiply at a quick rate. Medical procedure encounter is agonizing however justified, despite all the trouble. Settle on your choice early.

Julianah sharing her story

Another participant, shared her story however like the above story yet she didn't visit the hospital on time and when the surgery was done they discovered 8 lumps inside. Her advice is "don't be timid or hesitant to go for check up once you see something strange, early detection is the best."

 Dr (Mrs) Olanrenwaju discussed cervical cancer. I saw the passion in her eyes when talking about it. She said;

* Early sex inclines one to cervical disease.

* Faithfulness to your spouse, great genitals, sexual hygiene, toilet hygiene are approaches to remain safe. If you are sexually active, get screened and if you are not sexually active, get a vaccine.

Raise your left hand, move the pads of your fingers around your right breast gently in small circular motions covering the entire breast area and armpit. Use light, medium, and firm pressure. Squeeze the nipple; check for discharge and lumps.

Dr (Mrs) Adeyeye conducted the breast examination for twenty ladies and found lumps in three ladies, the matter is been taken up as the girls have been booked for appointments at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital. 

Together we can fight breast cancer. Now that you are AWARE, ensure to keep others abreast. Keep spreading the word, not the disease.
